Feeling unseen, unaccepted, or stagnant in personal growth can often be overwhelming. If you're grappling with emotional challenges, or find yourself at a crossroads in life, know that you're not alone and that change is within reach. Whether it's the strain in relationships, job-related stress, or a general feeling of being swamped, we can navigate these waters together. You've demonstrated resilience and introspection by seeking help, now let's create the path towards healing and transformation—together.

Psychodynamic psychotherapy is a powerful approach that helps clients uncover the patterns and unresolved conflicts that often shape their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. By engaging in this process, individuals can gain valuable insights into their inner world, leading to a greater understanding of themselves and the relationships that define their lives.

I proudly embrace clients from diverse racial backgrounds, sexual orientations, and neurodiverse experiences, ensuring each individual receives the respect, understanding, and personalized care they deserve.

TEENS

I understand the unique challenges and pressures that teens and adolescents face in today's ever-changing world. I am dedicated to providing a supportive and non-judgmental space for them to engage in psychotherapy, fostering a sense of safety, self-discovery, and emotional growth.

Adolescents can greatly benefit from psychotherapy as it helps them navigate the often complex emotional landscape of this transitional phase, while building resilience and enhancing their problem-solving skills. My approach is tailored to each teen's individual needs. I also recognize the value of parental involvement in the therapeutic process, as it creates a strong foundation for teens to grow and heal. By involving parents, we facilitate open communication, bridge gaps in understanding, and create a supportive environment that promotes the adolescent's overall well-being.

CHILD & Family

I firmly believe in the transformative power of psychotherapy and play therapy for children and their families. I can help children navigate the complexities of their emotions, understand their unique experiences, and develop essential coping skills. I am committed to providing a warm, nurturing environment where children can explore their thoughts and feelings through play therapy – an approach that allows them to express themselves in a language they know best: play.

I recognize that a child's growth and healing is deeply intertwined with their family dynamics. Therefore, I actively encourage parental and caregiver involvement in the therapeutic process, as it fosters a stronger support system and helps caregivers gain insights into their child's emotional world. This collaborative approach allows us to create tailored interventions that cater to the child's individual needs, ensuring their well-being and success.

asian American

Navigating the nuances of identity as an Asian American presents its own set of unique challenges. As an Asian American clinical psychologist, I deeply resonate with the complexities of intertwining cultures, intergenerational stress, and the day-to-day balancing act of acculturation. The tension between honoring familial expectations while staying authentic to oneself is something I understand intimately. My practice is geared towards supporting Asian Americans in their journey of racial identity formation, helping them grapple with the prevailing cultural currents, and addressing stereotypes, including the "model minority" myth. With insight and empathy, I assist clients in acknowledging and confronting these challenges, allowing them to live in various cultural worlds.

dream work

Dreams can be both intriguing and perplexing. Many people find themselves taken by recurring dreams or jolted by intense nightmares, seeking clarity and understanding. Others are simply captivated by a singular, striking dream that lingers in their consciousness. I do not believe that my role is to interpret your dreams for you or tell you their meanings. Instead, I accompany you on a collaborative exploration, supporting you to uncover and discern what these dreams signify uniquely for you. By delving into your personal experiences, emotions, and context, we journey together towards deeper self-awareness and insight.

NEURODIVERGENCE

I specialize in working with neurodivergent individuals. Whether you're navigating Autism, ADHD, high sensitivity, or exploring life as an empath or other aspects of neurodivergence, I'm here to partner with you. My multifaceted background as a clinical psychologist and former teacher has equipped me with a more comprehensive understanding of neurodivergence.

But rather than focusing solely on behavior management, my goal is to empower you to live life joyfully and to the fullest. I believe in celebrating neurodivergent traits as parts of a whole person, not something to be merely 'managed'. I can also integrate coaching services as needed.
